Energy Audits- FAQ: What If I Want To Make The Recommended Improvements Myself?

In the course of a comprehensive energy audit we will make some recommendations that homeowners that are handy and inclined, may choose to perform themselves.  Ready examples include sealing band joists, sealing duct work, and sealing plumbing and wiring penetrations.  In some cases recommendations will include measures which a homeowner might implement, but with more labor than a weatherization contractor with specialized equipment might require.  Which improvements you might best attempt yourself is something that we can discuss with you in light of our findings and recommendations.
