-plan your schedule so that you will be prepared to spend the majority of the audit day at home;
-collect utility bill statements for the past year (two years if possible), or sign and return to us a fuel data release
form so that we can obtain the utility data for you;
-temporarily relocate clothing, groceries, or other stored items that we will need to get by in evaluating your attic;
-make a running list of all questions that occur to you prior to audit day;
-identify any inspection reports that you may have gotten at the time that you purchased your residence; and
-let us know if there are problems with particular appliances
-let us know if there are specific humidity issues that you've been encountering;
-flag for review with us any suspected asbestos or any surfaces with chipping or peeling paint that you know of; and
-identify other work unrelated to energy efficiency that you have planned for your home.
If you have a question related to preparing for the audit that we haven't covered here, please let us know.
