PV System Design Services

One Line and Complete 3-Line Electrical Diagrams

Decent Energy can create electrical diagrams on a project by project basis.  We will work with PV installers to provide the exact details they interested in.  This can be implemented in stages from preliminary diagrams to a plan overview and detailed final diagrams.  All electrical diagrams are NEC code compliant and designed to have minimal cost and maximum efficiency over the life of the system.  These electrical diagrams specify the electrical equipment, indicate the sizes of conductors and may include conduit sizing upon request.

Module Layout and Plot Diagrams

We will create module layout diagrams and plot diagrams.  This can include wiring distance measurements on larger systems.  The diagrams can specify module footprint and includes all dimensions.

System Design and Review

Decent Energy will determine the equipment needed to complete a system design.  We can review system designs and verify string and wire sizing and even conduit sizes.  Many factors may affect string sizing calculations for a given application.  These factors are not taken into consideration in the on-line string sizing programs offered by various inverter manufacturers.  We will review these factors such as module degradation, module tolerance, voltage drop, partial shading, high utility ac voltage, and maximum and minimum temperatures.  Our design review process ensures that your system performs at the highest level that is capable of the solar equipment being installed over its entire 20+ year life.

Benefits of a Decent Energy Supplysm Plan Set

There are many benefits to having a Decent Energy Supplysm plan set beyond meeting the requirements of the utility and/ or state grant applications.  Some of these include:

·         Showing possibilities of array locations and orientation.

·         Developing an initial budget.

·         Identifying potential problems to discuss and share solutions.

·         Aiding in conversations with building officials and inspectors.

·         Generating a bill of materials

A completed plan set which is updated with any changes in the field can be used for future reference.
