Decent Energy, Inc. is pleased to announce that it recently added Joel Bates to its team as an energy auditor.
Joel earned his Associates degree in Applied Science from of the Johnson County Community College under the Energy Performance/Resource Management - Residential Auditing program. Joel is a BPI Certified Professional, having earned the Building Analyst designation under the standards established by the Building Performance Institute (BPI).
Joel's enthusiasm for and commitment to energy efficiency goes beyond the work day. In his spare time he has been working with other residents of Baldwin City, KS on the Take Charge Challenge.
Decent Energy, Inc. looks forward to Joel assisting us in continuing to elevate the level of practice and professionalism that we bring to energy efficiency through audits and assessments.

Barry Dicker, President of Decent Energy, Inc., has been asked to serve on an Advisory Committee On Commercial PACE formed by the Mid-America Regional Council (MARC).
PACE, an acronym for Property Assessed Clean Energy is an innovative approach to financing energy efficiency and renewable energy improvements. Under PACE programs
there is a voluntary opportunity to make improvements, and repay the costs over time as an additional assessment on a property tax bill. PACE loans are tupically funded by municipal bonds.
In 2010, the State of Missouri adopted PACE enabling legislation. Due to ongoing legal issues conerning the application of PACE to residential properties, and the impact on mortgage lending institutions, the immediate propsects for PACE appear best in the commercial and industrial markets.

Barry Dicker, President of Decent Energy, Inc. was elected today to serve as a member of the board of directors of the Heartland Renewable Energy Society for a two year term. The Heartland Renewable Energy Society, or HRES, is an affiliate of the American Solar Energy Society representing Kansas and Missouri. More on HRES is available here. |
